In the glass, the Pinot Gris from Château de Schengen presents a bright pale yellow color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it does not cling to the walls of the glass in a watery, syrupy, or liqueur-like manner. The bouquet of this white wine from the Luxembourg Mosel captivates with aromas of lemon. If we delve further into the aromas, minerality and walnut come into play.

The Château de Schengen Pinot Gris presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine is never coarse or sparse but rather rounded and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the Luxembourg Mosel region impresses with a nice length. Hints of lemon appear again. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the slate-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of Château de Schengen Pinot Gris

This balanced white wine from Luxembourg is vinified from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. In Luxembourg Mosel, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on slate soils. After hand harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the pressing house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food Recommendation for Château de Schengen Pinot Gris

This white wine from Luxembourg pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine to a whole range of wonderful dishes, but it is also a pleasure enjoyed on its own.
